DMOZ not showing in Google search results

DMOZ is not showing in Google's search results for the term "DMOZ". The recent algorithm changes at Google have affected even the biggest of web directories.

Google are unlikely to filter out the DMOZ from the search results simply because it is a web directory. The DMOZ are not likely to have paid for links, sell paid links or be considered an artificial influence of search engine results. Google clearly states in their guidelines to submit to directories like the DMOZ.

I think Google's current algorithm changes are affecting a range of websites, DMOZ included, but not exclusively web directories. Over the next few weeks we are likely to see results return to how things were before. This includes seeing some of the well know commercial web directories, such as Aviva Directory, and Alive Directory returning to search results.
